Viyella is a warm fabric but also a brand that produces its fabrics. Conceived by James and Robert Sissons of WILLIAM Hollins & Co IN 1984, YEAR when the brand was registered in the United Kingdom. And this is the first trademark of a fabric to be registered worldwide. It is a twill fabric with a composition of 55% MERINO WOOL and 45% cotton. It is warm soft but also light and it is mainly produced with checks and plain colours but it is also printed with floral patterns.
It finds its maximum expression in Laura ASHLEY’s fabrics.
